Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO): It’s an international airport in Nairobi the capital of & largest city in Kenya located in the Embakasi suburb 18km southeast of Nairobi, it takes 4hours 30 minutes from Arusha town Tanzania (264.5km)
Julius Nyerere International Airport: It’s an international airport located at Dar es Salaam the largest city in Tanzania. It is located approximately 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) southwest of the city center. This airport has flights to destinations in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. It is named after the nation’s first president Julius Nyerere.
Julius Nyerere International Airport has a total of three terminals:
- Terminal 1: is a small terminal that handles chartered and private flights . It has an annual capacity of handling 500,000 passengers.
- Terminal 2: is used for domestic and regional scheduled flights. It has a capacity of handling 1.5 million passengers annually.
- Terminal 3: is the newest terminal that opened in August 2019. It is used for international flights. There is a total of 58 businesses in the terminal categorized under rentals, operational machines and provisional of service.
Abeid Amani Karume International Airport: Is the main airport in Zanzibar located at Unguja Island. It is approximately 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) south of Zanzibar city and has flights to East Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. It was previously known as Kisauni Airport and Zanzibar International Airport. It was renamed in 2010 in honor of Abeid Amani Karume the Island’s first president.
